you may have noticed some of these posts are showing up later than usual. that’s because tumblr now makes me wait until the system resets every day in order to post the song, which is supposed to be midnight. Sometimes, however, it’s more like 3 am. I get tuckered out and fall asleep once in a while. I’m a recovering insomniac so…
tuesday, march 17th - “open up and say blahh!” , “i wish i had a piano” , “bref”
i decided to end this legendary string of songs that are accompanied by pictures of trios with the exact opposite, a trio of songs accompanied by one solitary figure. of course, that figure is advertising a trio, so it gets kind of confusing.
as my grandfather used to say, “six and seven/eights and a hamburger sangwich.”
springtime is here again. don’t forget to set your clocks back at 3 am or whenever that happens. don’t forget to tip your bartenders. don’t forget to brush your teeth. don’t forget to get a good night’s sleep. geeze. that’s a lot to remember.
my freebie this week comes from the CD collection of my friend nick. thankfully nick keeps his CDs whereas I eventually turn them into coasters/random sharp shards on my floor. i kind of think this is a pretty good song but my recording acumen in the year 2000 was in a word “pisspoor.”
this is my mulligan for the week. it also doubles as the oldest song i am likely to post all year. it’s so old that it had jesus as a camp counselor. it’s so old that it’s arthritis has arthritis. oooh snap. give me a break. i’m moving today.
jeremy underwood and lawrence giffin played on it in some capacity but i don’t remember who did what.
tuesday, february 17th - “let’s start it up again”
mulligan time. this song is pretty old. thanks to adam perry for unearthing it. i’m not all that into it but i really, really, really need the day off. you can send angry emails to email@example.com.
thursday, february 12th - “it’s a dreamer’s world”
thanks to elizabeth darnell for having this old song of mine on her hard drive. obviously, that means, this is my mulligan for the week. it’s really noisy. it’s just an mp3 so there was really nothing i could do to clean it up. sorry?
